MCGURK: Then you have the Kana, which are kind of like our alphabet — they're each pronounced a certain way. You can write any Japanese word in Kana to show how it is pronounced. Japanese language is a combination of Kanji and Hiragana and Katakana.
SOLOMON: That sounds... simple.
MCGURK: But regardless, we won't know the "sumo" sign when we see it.
